I am so, so sorry for your loss, and sadder still that I was out of contact with Rick for so long. Rick was my friend from the time I was 12 years old, I think. He was my next door neighbors boyfriend. I celebrated some important milestones in my growing up life with Rick which I'll never forget and will never forget him. At the end of the 60's when life was hard for us as teenagers, my folks requested that I move out. I then moved in with Rick in a hippie house in Levittown. What an experience that was. I hadn't seen Rick since I was 18, but reunited with him when I was 34 in a very unusual way after having a dream about him. We then stayed in contact for a while, and his band played at my college graduation party quite by coincidence. Sadly, we lost contact after that, but I would think about him from time to time as he was an important impressionable person in my life. He was different, a deep thinker, a music lover, a good person. I'm sad I won't be able to see him again.
