Glenn Probst Obituary
Hopewell Junction - Hopewell Junction - Glenn H. Probst, 60, passed away suddenly on Saturday, September 3, 2011 while fishing with friends in Sodus Point, New York. He was born in Queens, New York on January 13, 1951, son of Gertrude and William A. Probst, Jr.
Glenn was a graduate of R.C. Ketcham High School, class of 1969. He was owner of Glenn Probst Stairbuilding Company, in business for 41 years , and a lifetime member of Whortekill Rod and Gun Club, as well as an avid hunter, fisherman, and a HUGE fan of Billy Ball.
He is survived by his three beloved children, sons Glenn Jr. and Jeremy, and his daughter Georgeanne Probst, his mother Gert Probst, all of Hopewell Junction. He is also survived by his two brothers, Billy Probst of Millbrook, and Jay Probst of Hopewell Junction; his goddaughter, Liisa Probst of Newburgh; his nieces and nephews, Craig and Andrea Garcy, and Sarah Hawley; Kenny Jr. and Cheyenne Heady, Billy Probst Murphy, and Brittany and Shane Probst.
He is predeceased by his father, William A. Probst, Jr.
Glenn's love and commitment to his family and friends was unfaultering, his sense of humor made all who knew and loved him laugh, and his smile was as radiant as the sun. He will be sorely missed by everyone.
Friends are welcome to join Glenn's family in a celebration of his life at Lomala Civic Center, Hopewell Junction, New York, on Saturday, September 10 from 2:00pm to 5:00pm.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association or a charity of your choice.

Still missing you so much. You came to be my best friend and the wisest man I've ever had the pleasure to meet. Your catch phrases and generosity will always be deeply held in my heart. Please keep guiding your loved ones, especially Jeremy. Me e e eeannnwhile. Fresh air. Cornish game hens. Calamody the cat. The way you always shook your legs in and out. Glenn and I had many good times growing up hunting and fishing whenever we could. Life back then was so such simpler. Glenn put everyone in a good mood when he was in your company. My condolences to the entire family. It is truly a loss to those of us he leaves behind.
