Iris Kano-Wilson Obituary
Fishkill - Iris Kano-Wilson, age 55, born June 9, 1963 in the Bronx, NY, passed away peacefully at the Kaplan Family Hospice Residence on September 12, 2018 surrounded by her loving family.
Iris was the Supervising Motor Vehicle Clerk for the Beacon office. She loved her job and was very passionate and devoted to creating an office environment that ran smoothly and professionally. She was admired by her co-workers as well as her friends and family. Iris' main passion was spending time with her family. She loved camping, skiing and vacationing with her daughter, Amber and sister, Michele. She also loved celebrating family events and holidays in her home. She was proud of her German heritage and the traditions that it possessed, which she made sure the family carried on. She was an inspiring and powerful woman and will always be remembered as the fighter she was. She was beautiful inside and out and taught her family many unforgettable, valuable lessons. She had a heart of gold and she will be truly missed, but her memory will live on forever.
Iris is survived by her husband, Herbert Wilson; her daughter, Amber Wilson; stepsons, James (Ishia) and Michael Wilson; mother and father, Rose and Arno Kano; her sisters, Michele Popielaski (Philip), Carol Neelis (Robert) and Hannelore Harding; her brother, Lewis Bulson; her grandchildren, Devin and Lindsey, Hayden Wilson; her great grandchildren, Sophie and Skarlett; her nieces and nephews.
Iris was predeceased by her step-mother, Hannelore Kano.

The funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 22 at 10 a.m.at Christ Church United Methodist, 60 Union Street, Beacon followed by a celebration of life held at St. Rocco's Hall, 26 South Chestnut Street, Beacon.
