Father Jay was a joyous, astute, eloquent, and loving addition to our Rhinebeck, NY parish, taking over when a much-loved priest retired, and preparing the congregation to move on to a new life together. I loved and learned a lot from his sense of the Church's role in the larger world, and I was honored to be one of his many friends. He will be much missed.
