Jeannette Iulo Obituary
Poughkeepsie, New York - Jeannette Iulo, 93 of Poughkeepsie, NY passed away at Wingate Nursing Home, Beacon, NY on Wednesday, June 13, 2018. She was born on December 24, 1924 in Chattancourt, France to Marie and Grigoire Snitkoff. Jeannette met and married Amadio (Mario) Iulo while he was serving World War II in France. She came to the United States as a war bride.
Jeannette worked for many years at Prudential Insurance in both NYC and Pennsylvania until her retirement. She and her husband moved to Poughkeepsie in 1985. Jeannette loved all forms of needlework from knitting, crocheting, needlepoint, cross-stitch and petit point and was the recipient of several awards in competition.
Jeannette is survived by her son Bernard, daughter-in-law Eileen, granddaughters Michelle Schoulder and Mehgan Iulo, Michelle's husband Andrew and Jeannette's two great grandsons Bryce and Flynn Schoulder.
There are no calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, June 18, 2018 at 10:00am at St. Martin de Porres Church, 118 Cedar Valley Road, Poughkeepsie, NY 12603. Je suis très triste d'apprendre le décès de ma tante Jeannette
Mes souvenirs sont encore très présents,je me souviens de son élégance,et de la gentillesse de mon cousin Bernard lors des visites faites chez notre grand mère en France
Et de ce magnifique vélo rouge que tous deux m'avaient offert!
