Joanne Spadaro Obituary

Joanne B. Spadaro

Highland - Joanne B. Spadaro 68, a lifelong resident of Highland passed away at her home on December 12, 2013 with her loving family by her side.

Joanne was a Dietician for Fishkill Heath Related Center and most recently was a Registered Nurse for Vassar Brothers Medical Center in Poughkeepsie up until her retirement on November 1, 2010.

Mrs. Spadaro was a member of St. Augustine Roman Catholic Church in Highland and was also a member of the local Nurses Union.

Joanne graduated from Highland High school class of 63 and graduated from Dutchess Community College.

Joanne was born in New Rochelle, NY on November 16, 1945. She was the daughter of Costanzio and Constance Simonetti Trapani.

She married Ralph S. Spadaro on March 29, 1981 in Poughkeepsie. Her husband survives at home in Highland.

Additional survivors include her sons; Matthew Fiorillo and his wife Desiree of Manhattan, NY, Michael Fiorillo and his wife Renee of Hopewell Jct., NY, her grandchildren; Penelope and Anna; her brother; John Trapani and his wife Jeanne of Gardiner, NY and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Joanne was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend who will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

A memorial gathering for family and friends will take place on Monday December 16th from 4-8pm at the Michael Torsone Memorial Funeral Home, Inc. 38 Main St. Highland, NY 12528.

Funeral service will take place on Tuesday December 17th 10:00am at the funeral home.

Burial will follow at St. Charles Cemetery in Gardiner.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Hospice Foundation, Inc. 374 Broadway Kingston, NY 12401.

My heart is exceptionally heavy, as Joanne was and always will be the sister I never had. Ralph, you are not alone and my family will continuously pray for you.
