I had the privilege of meeting Jo a few times at her daughter Amy's house. I was struck by her down-to-Earth way of seeing, and being. Her talents remain a beautiful gift to this world, and her family a living legacy of all her goodness. Our condolences to you all, as you mourn the passing of this delightful soul.

Jo was a talented artist and brave creator. We first met at the Womens Studio Workshop where she was patient, enthusiastic, fun and encouraging. She is an inspiring person and artist. My condolences to her family.

Jo was a spirit of joy and love and grace. I can hear her laugh as she would talk about getting up in her saddle and ridin' on in to work with the children at the nursery school. I am so sad I did not see an art show of recent years, but I think we are all fortunate that her art will be a part of Jo we continue to share.

Jo was a golden light. She was so generous to us in her book arts workshops: what fun we had guided by her skills, her acceptance, her open-heartedness and her fine sense of humor. She just loved making art with others and opened her home to us. She epitomized to me the meaning of the word grace. I will miss her. To the family: I hope that who and how she was shines in you even as you mourn. She was very special.
