Joseph G. (Jody) Pavero III

Highland - Joseph G. (Jody) Pavero III, 61, of Highland, New York, passed away on April 25, 2018 in Highland.

Jody was born in Poughkeepsie to the late Mary Ellen and Joseph Pavero, II on February 25, 1957. He grew up in Highland where he attended St. Augustine's School, Our Lady of Lourdes High School and Marist College. He was a member of the Town of Lloyd Board of Assessors and belonged to the Italian Center in Poughkeepsie.

Jody spent his life working in the apple industry where he was President of his family business, Pavero Cold Storage. Jody was extremely passionate about his work and could always be seen driving his forklift around at the Cold Storage. He was known for his loving kindness and generosity. He loved spending his vacation time at the family house in St. Martin. In his leisure time, he enjoyed driving around in his sports cars, playing golf, and spending time with his loved ones. He had a deep love for music, especially the Beatles.

Jody is survived by his beloved wife, Missy Pavero; daughters Camille Pavero and Nicolena Netter; his brother and sister-in-law, Jeffery and Cathy Pavero; his nephew Dominic Romero; and his Aunt Mary (Chickie) Basch, 91 years old of Pompano Beach FL.

Calling hours will be held on Sunday, April 29th from 1pm-6pm at the Michael Torsone Memorial Funeral Home, Inc.,38 Main Street, Highland. A Funeral Home service will be held 10:00am Monday, April 30th with burial in the family plot to immediately follow at St. Charles Cemetery in Gardiner.
