Joshua Anthony Wright

- - Joshua Anthony Wright was born on April 14, 1993, in the Bronx New York at our Lady of Mercy Hospital to Jeffrey and Roxanne Wright. Joshua was the middle sibling to older brother Jeffrey, Jr. and younger brother Jordan. Joshua departed this life at 4:30 am on August 6, 2018.

Joshua gave his life to the Lord and was baptized at a young age. He began his school career at Tabernacle Christian Academy after his family relocated to Dutchess County. He attended Christian Academy from kindergarten to sixth grade. Joshua later attended Union Vale Middle School and Arlington High School where he received his diploma in June 2011. In middle and high school, Joshua excelled in basketball. Joshua was also a member of his high school team and Playmaker Academy. After completing high school, Joshua attended Dutchess Community College for one semester. It was during this time that Joshua felt called to join the United States Air Force. In the Air Force, Joshua earned the rank of Senior Airman.

Senior Airman Wright met his fiancé Adelene Felix while they were both serving in Kuwait. On February 27, 2018, their loving union created Isaiah Anthony Wright. He was a loving and doting father to baby Isaiah and a loving partner to Adelene. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and playing his favorite sport, basketball.

Senior Airman Wright was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Oscar and Julia Wright; uncles, Oscar, Jr. and James Wright and his cousin, Dwyane Baker.Senior Airman Wright was a 25-year-old, active-duty member assigned to the 87 Security Forces Squadron. He was a loving and devoted friend to everyone fortunate enough to know him.

Senior Airman Wright leaves to cherish his memory his loving parents, Jeffrey and Roxanne Wright; son, Isaiah Anthony Wright; fiancé, Adelene; brothers, Jeffrey, Jr. and Jordan; grandparents, James and Jean Lewis, Bronx, NY; aunts, Diane (Billy) Baker, Englewood, NJ, Veda (Alphonso) Grampus, Stony Point, NY, Wendy (David) Lewis-Falloon, Bronx, NY, Cheryl Lewis-Sankar, West Orange, NJ, Patricia Lewis, Poughkeepsie, NY and Diane (Tommy) Velez, Newburgh, NY; uncles, Julian (Sharon) Lewis, Valenica, CA and Jim Lewis, Yonkers, NY; a host of cousins from the East to West Coasts; his extended family and friends; and his family from the 87 Security Forces Squadron.

Mr. Wright will repose 5-7 P.m. Thursday, August 16, 2018 at Full Gospel Church, 1138 Rt. 55, Lagrange, NY. Service at 7:00 p.m. at the church. Pastor Rick A. Leonardi will officiate.
