Leonard Audette Obituary

Leonard P. Audette

Marlboro, NY - Leonard P. Audette, 54, passed peacefully from this life on Wednesday, August 19, 2015 at his home in Marlboro, NY where he had resided for the past five years.

Born in Rockville, CT on November 5, 1960, Len was the much loved son of Ronald L. and Alice D. (Dupras) Audette who survive. He was a 1978 graduate of Rockville High School and later attended the E.C. Goodwin Technical High School in New Britain, CT.

Len enjoyed a lifelong career as a sales representative. His dedication to providing exceptional and reliable service earned him the trust of his clients and the families they served and created for him many long-lasting and special friendships.

Len was initially employed by the Catholic Church Extension Society in Bar Harbor, Maine, Texas and Pennsylvania. He relocated to Clifton Park in 1992 and for the past 25 years had been employed by the Messenger Corporation of Auburn, Indiana, a provider of funeral goods and fine stationery to funeral homes, as their representative in New York and the New England region. He was also currently employed by the Florence Casket Company of Florence Massachusetts and had formerly worked for the Aurora Casket Company of Indiana.

Len enjoyed golfing and was an avid downhill skier. He also enjoyed running and was proud to have successfully finished the world renowned Boilermaker 15 K Race in Utica, NY. He had once coached boys soccer in Clifton Park, NY and girls soccer in Mechanicville, NY and he formerly served as a high school football referee with the Capital District Football Officials Association.

Len enjoyed traveling and had recently, with his sons, visited Ireland and Washington State. He reserved a special place in his heart for Aspen, Colorado, Delray Beach, Florida and Bar Harbor, Maine.

In addition to his parents, Len is survived by his loving companion, Melissa Drake and her children, Haley and Matthew Drake; his sons, Adam Audette and his fiancé Kassie, Cameron Audette and Elliott Audette and their mother Debra Audette; his sister, Debbie (Nate) Harris; his brothers, Ron (Holly) Audette and Ken (Barbara) Audette as well as several nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will be held on Monday, August 24, 2015 from 3 until 7 PM at the Parker Brothers Memorial, 2013 Broadway in Watervliet, NY and will conclude with an evening prayer service and the sharing of memories of Len. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by the Reverend Edward Kacerguis on Tuesday, August 25, 2015 at 11 AM in Corpus Christi Church, 2001 Route 9, Round Lake, NY and will be immediately followed by a reception, in honor of Len, at The Mill Restaurant, 2121 Route 9, Round Lake, NY.

Interment will take place on Wednesday, August 26, 2015 at 12 noon in the Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton, MA.

Len and I were associated as Sales Representatives with Messenger, but more than that, I found him to be a warm, funny, friend.

Audette family,

I used to be associated with the CDFOA and assigned lower level football games of which LLennie used to help me out. Lennie was a top notch guy who was as friendly as any person I was ever associated with. Lennie will be sorely missed and may he rest in peace.

Adam, Cameron, Elliot,
The love you have for your Father is a bond that happens at birth, you will always be a part of each other. No amount of time will ever make your loss easier to endure. But, no amount of time can ever take your memories and your love for your Dad. Be strong and remember.
I love you guys, Mary
