Lois Buley Obituary
New Paltz - Lois A. Buley, 80,passed away peacefully at Woodland Pond at New Paltz surrounded by her family on July 20th after as long battle with Alzheimer's disease. Lois was born in Poughkeepsie on February 15, 1937 to the late Edith and Fredrick Mosher,. On September 20, 1958 she married Theodore H. Buley who survives at home. Lois is also survived by her sister, Joyce Morgan of Poughkeepsie, her daughter Susan Antoinette and her husband Peter, of Ballston Spa, N.Y. her son Jeffrey Buley of Voorhesville,N.Y. and her granddaughters Rachael and Clare Buley. Step grandsons P.J., Nick, and Andrew Antoinette, nieces and nephews Richard and Jo Anne Marino, Robert and Rhonda Marino, Michelle and Stephen Turletes and Thomas Morgan. Lois was predeceased by her brother Roland Mosher, her sister and brother in-law Shirley R and Alfred S. Marino, and her brother in-law Richard B. Morgan. Lois worked in the Education Department at IBM and as a floral assistant at Morgans Florist and Marianne's Flora Garden in Poughkeepsie. Her family and friends brought her great joy. Those who shared her humor and spirit, will never forget the precious time they spent with her.
A celebration of Lois's life will begin with a Visitation on Thursday, July 27, 2017, 4-8PM at the Wm. G. Miller & Son FH, Inc., 371 Hooker Ave., Poughkeepsie, NY 12603. Services will be Friday, July 28, 2017 at 10AM in The Poughkeepsie United Methodist Church, 2381 New Hackensack Road, Poughkeepsie, NY 12603. Entombment will follow in Poughkeepsie Rural Cemetery. Memorial Donations may be made to: The Alzheimer's Association, 2 Jefferson Plaza, Ste. 103, Poughkeepsie, NY 12601.
