Lois Lawrence Obituary
Amenia, NY - Lois A. Lawrence, 94, passed away on Saturday, January 6, 2018 at Sharon Health Care Center in Sharon, CT.
She was born on March 20, 1923 in Rhinebeck, NY, the daughter of Percy and Edith (Kilmer) VanKeuren.
Mrs. Lawrence was kind, strong, generous and hardworking. She was dearly loved by her community.
Survivors include a son, Peter Lawrence of Hudson, NY; two daughters, Carol (William) Stanton of Cobleskill, NY; Nancy (Lee) DeWitt of Hyde Park, NY; a daughter-in-law, Bernice Lawrence of Pine Plains, NY. She is also survived by thirteen grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, Charles Lawrence Sr. in 1988, a son, Patrick Lawrence in 2012, and one brother and one sister.
Calling hours are from 4 to 7 PM on Thursday, January 11, 2018 at the Peck and Peck Funeral Home, 7749 S. Main St., Pine Plains.
A funeral service will be held at 10 AM on Friday, January 12, 2018 at the Smithfield Presbyterian Church, 656 Smithfield Valley Rd., Amenia, NY 12501, with Rev. Douglas Grandgeorge officiating.
Interment will follow in the Smithfield Cemetery.
