Lorraine Nicolato Obituary
Poughkeepsie - Lorraine Nicolato, 84 of Poughkeepsie, NY passed away on Saturday July 6, 2013 at St. Francis Hospital. Born on July 19, 1928 in Chicago Illinois she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Gina Temolo. Lorraine was a graduate of Blue Island, Illinois High School and attended the University of Chicago with a major in music. Lorraine worked as a secretary at United Corp. Laboratory in Ithaca, NY and was a head cashier at Fairchild's Department Store in Ithaca, NY. On December 5, 1948 she married Eugene C. Nicolato who survives at home. Other survivors include her sons; Eugene J. Nicolato and Neal M. Nicolato of Poughkeepsie and grandchildren Michael Nicolato, Sarah Norcross, Amanda W. Nicolato and Lauren Nicolato. Besides her parents she is also predeceased by her son David Nicolato. Lorraine was the President of the Clinton School PTA in Poughkeepsie, a member of the Italian Center, Clearwater, FL; St. Mary's Church, Poughkeepsie, McCann ladies golf league, Poughkeepsie and a past member of the Poughkeepsie tennis club. There will be no calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday July 12, 2013 at 10:00am at St. Mary's Church, South Hamilton Street, Poughkeepsie, NY with Msgr. John Brinn officiating. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. Arrangements have been entrusted to Joseph J. Darrow Sr. Funeral Home, 39 So.
