Marilyn E. Casella

Daughter of the late Joseph and Wilamina Lappe O'Malley, she was born February 18, 1945 in the Bronx. She married David L. Casella on April 26, 1969 in the Bronx. Mr. Casella preceded her in death on June 21, 1997.

She is survived by her sons, David Casella and his wife, Danielle of Poughkeepsie and Andrew Casella and his wife, Nicole of Poughkeepsie; her sister, Patricia McFadden and her husband, Michael of Long Branch, New Jersey; her grandchildren, Gabrielle and Cooper Casella and Brady, Cole and Hayley Casella; three nieces and one nephew.

Family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 8, 2015 from 7 to 9 p.m. and Thursday, April 9 from 6 to 9 p.m. at Straub, Catalano & Halvey Funeral Home, 55 East Main Street, Wappingers Falls.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10 a.m. on Friday, April 10 at St. Martin de Porres Church, 118 Cedar Valley Road, Poughkeepsie.

Interment will follow at Wappingers Rural Cemetery, West Main Street, Wappingers Falls.

My deepest condolences to Andy and his family for the loss of his mother. Andy is a great person to work with and an overall terrific guy. I could only imagine how hard this is knowing how much a son loves his mother.

May Mrs. Casella rest in peace.
