I am so sorry to hear of Marty's passing. Sometimes finding the right words to say at these times are difficult. I got to know Marty best in Florida I hired him on as a salesman selling advertising space, hence I guess I became his first sales manager. He was new at sales but I noticed he was a natural and said although sales was an up and down business such as life can be, he was that good and may want to consider it as part of his life journey and he must have taken it to heart and did just that. That all happened in 1980 a number of years later we talked after he left and he said he was an elevator salesman, like I said he took it to heart. On the phone he said but Dan you told me this gig would be an up and down business so why not sell elevators...he had me in stitches with that comment. Marty you did good but that up button was pressed way to early. Your friends, family and managers and co-workers were blessed to have known you for I know I was. RIP my friend and maybe when my up button is pressed we will meet again.. Dan

To all remaining family members, loved ones, and close friends of Marty's, I am also very sad to hear that he has passed away from us. I send my deepest condolences to all who have known and loved him. Marty was related to me through a marraige, and also, he was my classmate, and we graduated the same year at FDR High School. No message or words can really express how I feel about your loss, but I'm trying anyways... One of his favorite songs, that I'm aware of, was written by John Lennon, called "Working Class Hero" and this song will be etched into my memory for the remainder of my life. I pray for all of his remaining family and all his loved ones.. My heart goes out. May his path be lighter to travel throughout time.. Sincerely, James (he knew me as Jimmy)
