Maureen Kirby Obituary
Poughkeepsie, NY - Maureen Alanna Kirby, 27, of Poughkeepsie, NY passed away Sunday, August 5, 2012. Maureen was born February 14, 1985 in Portchester, NY the daughter of Edward Joseph Kirby and Brenda Jeanette Kebsch.
She graduated SUNY Albany with a Bachelor's degree, and most recently worked as a saleswoman for the Robert Half Employment agency in Albany, NY. Maureen is survived by her Mother Brenda, and her Father Edward, her Maternal Grandmother Patricia Kebsch of Poughkeepsie, Paternal Grandfather William E. Kirby of Lynchburg, VA, her twin brother Edward Michael Kirby of Albany, NY, along with her Uncle Peter C. Kirby of San Diego, CA and Uncle Bruce Kebsch of Hyde Park.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, August 9th 11:00 am at Holy Trinity Church, Poughkeepsie, NY with burial to follow in St. Peter's Cemetery, Poughkeepsie, NY. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in Maureen's name to the Children's Home of Poughkeepsie, 10 Children's Way, Poughkeepsie, NY 12601.

R.I.P Maureen. Our thoughts and prayers are with family and friends. Maureen was part of the opening team of our hotel 5 years ago, and spent over 2 successful years with us. We will miss you and miss your visits to the hotel every once awhile..Most of our staff members knew Maureen and were deeply saddened to hear the news.

I worked with "Mo" in the flower shop at Adams. She was a wonderful, sweet young woman. Always patient and helpful. she is the one who really showed me how to use the register. She was very good with customers. Always smiling! It was fun to work with her! I was so happy to hear she got her degree! And so shocked and sad to hear of her of her passing. I will always remember her fondly. With deepest sympathy to her family.......
