Maxine "Max" Adele Duffield

Palm Coast, FL - Maxine "Max" Adele Duffield, 83, of Palm Coast, FL passed away on Wednesday, May 25, 2016 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born on July 10, 1933, to the late Merle and Camilla Brooks (Cannon). She obtained her Bachelor's degree in Music Education from Western Illinois University. Maxine worked as an Elementary School Music Teacher in Champagne, IL. and Cedar Rapids, IA, and a Middle School Music Teacher in Hyde Park, NY. She also worked as a Real Estate Agent. In 2011, she and her husband moved to the Palm Coast area from Hyde Park, NY. She was a wonderfully talented woman who shared her passion of singing in choirs, playing the organ and as a soloist in the churches she attended throughout her life. Maxine was devoted to her family and enjoyed baking, gardening and applying her uninhibited social skills around the neighborhood. Her charismatic attitude, incredible sense of humor and her love of life will be sorely missed.

Survivors include her loving husband of 62 years, Rolland; children, Steven A. Duffield of Palm Coast; Loretta and her husband James LeRoy of Palm Coast; David Duffield of Manchester, CT; William and his wife Renee Duffield of Brookfield, CT; Diana and her husband Robert A. Viggiano of LaGrangeville, NY; sisters, Mary Alice VanHuffel; Jeannette Ferguson; brother, Dale Brooks; her beloved grandchildren, Justin, Brandon, Jim, Joe, David, Fawn, Ryan, Adam, Alexander, Dean, Shane, Ashley and Kelly; great-grandchildren, Alyssa, Sonny, Noah, Gavin, Benjamin, Ryan and Leon.
