Anzelone
HIGHLAND - Michael P. Anzelone, 97, lifetime resident of Highland, NY, passed away May 29, 2011 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center.
Michael was born May 9, 1914 in Bayonne, NJ the son of the late Antonio Anzelone and Dominica Minatella.
He proudly served his country in the US Army Air Corps, from 1942-1945, serving during WWII in China, Burma and India.
He later worked as a laborer for Anzelone Brothers Construction in Highland until he retired in 1992.
On October 30, 1949 in St. Colmans Church in East Kingston, he married Margaret Ferrendino, his wife survives him at home.
Michael is also survived by his daughters Maria Quackenbush and husband Michael of Hyde Park, Margaret Duclos and husband Glen of Vermont, Connie Rosa and husband James of New Paltz, 4 grandchildren: Michelle Rosa and Scott Wynne, Nicole VanderDrift and husband Michael, Danielle Rosa and Richard Avener, Christine Baker and husband Andrew, 3 Great Grandchildren: Christopher VanderDrift, Scott and Olivia Wynne, along with several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his brothers, Tom, Sam, Anthony, Charles, Larry, and Sal Anzelone, sisters Lena, Elizabeth, Josephine and Jenny.
Calling hours will be Wednesday, June 1st from 4-7 PM at The Michael Torsone Memorial Funeral Home, Inc., 38 Main Street, Highland, NY 12528.
A Funeral Service will be at 11:00 am, Thursday June 2nd at St. Augustine's Roman Catholic Church in Highland, with entombment to follow at Lloyd Cemetery, Highland, NY.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Augustine's Church in Highland, NY.

Margret you have all my best wish's Mike was a good man who lived a good long life. I will miss seeing him out there doing yard work when I drive by. May god protect you in your time of loss.
