Michael DeMaio

Michael DeMaio, 51, a long time Highland resident, passed away on May 25, 2021 in Poughkeepsie.

Michael was born on November 6, 1969 in Poughkeepsie, NY to Rosemary (DiLorenzo) and Neil DeMaio. He attended Highland schools and graduated in 1987. Mike grew up with a large family on both sides. He enjoyed cooking and worked in several local delis and pizzerias through the years. He was also a laborer in the construction industry for several companies in the Hudson Valley.

Mike was predeceased by his parents, his sister Leann DeMaio and his much loved aunt Marion DiLorenzo. He is survived by his children Francesca Rose and Gianni Nicco; his siblings Neil and Roberta DeMaio, Steven DeMaio, Teresa DeMaio, Debra and John Corey; nephew Justin DeMaio; nieces Kara DeMaio, Krista Petrosoff and Kacie DeMaio; uncles and aunts Steve and Sue DiLorenzo and Vincent and RoseAnn DeMaio, as well as many cousins and friends.

There will be no calling hours. His ashes will be interred in the Cedar Hill Cemetery Mausoleum with a small service; the date will be announced in the near future.

Arrangements are under the guidance of the Michael Torsone Memorial Funeral Home, Inc., Highland, N.Y.

I knew mike for a short time but the time i got to spend with him wear all good times.I’m shocked to hear of his passing and I will miss him.
