Portsmouth, NH - Mildred E. Rossbach Stone Bennett, 88, died Friday, April 7, 2013 in Portsmouth, New Hampshire at the Clipper Harbor of Portsmouth Nursing and Rehab Center due to respiratory failure/dementia.

Mrs. Bennett was born at Vassar Hospital, Poughkeepsie on May 18, 1924 to John Rossbach and Mildred Schryver Rossbach-Budicin of Hyde Park. Mildred attended Hyde Park Schools and graduated from F.D. Roosevelt High School, class of 1942.

Mildred was predeceased by her mother and father; her first husband, Theodore Stone; second husband, Sherman Bennett; and brother, John C. Rossbach.

She is survived by her son, Lawrence A. Stone, of Well's, Maine; daughter, Paula C. Oliver, of Port St. Lucie, Florida; step-daughter, Susan Temple, of Hopewell Junction; brother, Charlie F. Rossbach and wife, Beverly (Randolph) Rossbach, of Hyde Park; sister-in-law, Barbara (Landry) Rossbach, of Hyde Park; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests memorial donations to Alzheimer's Association, Jefferson Plaza, Suite 103, Poughkeepsie, NY 12601-4060 (www.alz.org).
