Norma Allen Obituary
Pleasant Valley - Norma J. Allen, 82, of Pleasant Valley, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 30, 2017 at the Eleanor Nursing Home, in Hyde Park. She was born on October 11, 1935 in Poughkeepsie to the late Robert and Ethel Scofield Miller.
She worked for many years at Hudson Valley Federal Credit Union as a receptionist and worked nights at Coppola's restaurant in Poughkeepsie. After her retirement she worked at the Snack Shack at the Baird Park Golf Course.
Norma enjoyed country drives with her late husband, John Allen who passed away in 2005. She loved to cook and garden as well.
Norma is survived by her daughter, Dawn and her husband, Tom Sanford, of LaGrangeville; and grandchildren, Mitchell and Farrah Sanford. She is also survived by her 2 daughters and son all of the South.
Services for Norma will be private.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Allen Funeral Home, 1605 Main St., Pleasant Valley, NY 12569.

Extremely saddened to read this. Norma was one of the funniest, silliest, most loving and caring people I have ever known. Always quick witted! Always smiling! I thought of Norma often, wondering how (and where) she was. I was just thinking about her last week actually, (and smiling, of course!). Rest well. I will always remember you. Grateful to have had the honor of calling you my friend. Sincere condolences to the family.

Dawn, I'm so sorry to hear of Mom's passing....my prayers are with you and your family at this time. I loved her like family and have so many fond memories I will treasure. If there truly is a heaven she's will John having a cocktail .
