Octavia Seabring

WAPPINGERS FALLS - Octavia T. Seabring, 88, a resident of Wappingers Falls for 20 years and formerly of the Bronx, died on Tuesday, December 13, 2011 at the Somers Manor Nursing Home.

Born in Manhattan on August 1, 1923, she was the daughter of William and Marion Carfagno Hart. She was employed as a receptionist for Chemical Bank in the Bronx for 23 years until her retirement in 1985 and she attended Mass at St. Mary's Church in Wappingers Falls.

On June 3, 1946 in the Bronx, Octavia married William Seabring who predeceased her on April 24, 1974. She is survived by her sons, William Seabring of Union Vale and Charles Seabring and his wife Cathy of Union Vale; his grandson, Charles Seabring Jr. and his wife Amy of Union Vale; her great-grandchildren, Christian and Ariana Seabring of Union Vale; her brother, William Hart of Manhattan; her sister, Jean Quaid of Pine Plains; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Calling hours will be held on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday at 11am at the funeral home. Interment will be in Long Island National Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
