Patricia Dean Obituary
Pleasant Valley - Patricia Dean, 65 of Pleasant Valley, died surrounded by loved ones on Wednesday March 21 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center following a brief and sudden illness. Pat was born August 16, 1952 to John and Marjorie (née Hoy) in Niskayuna, NY. Pat worked as a counselor for Gateway Community Industries until her retirement in October 2017. Pat will be dearly missed by her sister Elizabeth Dean, her niece Emily Seifert (Christopher van Rooyen), her nephew Michael Seifert (Allison Hewitt), great-nephew Thomas, her cousins, treasured friends and beloved cat Gracie. Memorial donations in lieu of flowers can be made to Sparrow's Nest.

I worked with Pat since I came to Gateway in 1997 and I considered her a good friend. We had many good conversations and her bright smile will be sorely missed. My heartfelt condolences to her family.

My sympathy to Pat's family and friends. She will be missed by many. I had the pleasure of working with her for 17 years and we had many lovely talks about family, work and all of our like interests. Pat had the answers to all of our questions and was never too busy to help someone who needed her. Great person. RIP Pat
