Priscilla Tremper

Red Hook - Priscilla Anne Tremper, 86, of Red Hook, NY, passed away on Monday, December 11, 2017 at the Thompson House in Rhinebeck, NY.

Born on December 25, 1930, at her grandparents' home in Leicester, MA, she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Dorothy (Salls) Woods. A graduate of Leicester High School -she was the 1948 class salutation. Priscilla attended Lasell Junion College in Auburndale, MA, and received her Associates Degree from Dutchess County Community College in Poughkeepsie, NY. She went on to earn her Bachelor's Degree from SUNY New Paltz.

Priscilla married Stanton Tremper, Jr. on July 28, 1950 at the Federated Church in Sturbridge, MA, and he survives at home in Red Hook.

Priscilla and her husband were the owners and operators of T & T Ford in Rhinebeck and also served as the corporations Vice President.

A longtime active member of St. John's Reformed Church in Red Hook, NY, where she served as a Deacon, Elder, and Vice President of Consistory. Priscilla took great joy in singing in the St. John's Church Choir for over 20 years. She was a founding member of the St. John's Shepherds Ministry and served as a group coordinator for the first 16 years. Priscilla also was a founding member and first Treasurer of Northern Dutchess Mothers Club- based out of Northern Dutchess Hospital in Rhinebeck.

In addition to her loving husband, Stanton Tremper, Jr of Red Hook, NY, she is survived by her two daughters, Wendy Tremper Wollerton of Livingston, NY, and Kim Ryder of Bernhard's Bay, NY; her sister, Betty Swan of New Fairfield, CT; her grandsons, Ryan Tucci of Syracuse, NY, and Jason Tucci of North Carolina; along with extended family, colleagues, and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00PM on Thursday, December 14th, 2017 at St. John's Reformed Church, Red Hook, NY. Rev. Eric Titus will officiate. Burial will be at St. John's Reformed Church Cemetery, Red Hook.

There will be no calling hours.

Memorial donations may be made in Priscilla's memory to the St. John's Reformed Church, 126 Old Post Road North,Red Hook, NY 12571.
