Ramzi Y. Fakhoury

HYDE PARK - Ramzi Y. Fakhoury, a resident of Hyde Park entered into rest Saturday, February 26, 2011 at the age of 59.

Mr. Fakhoury was born November 8, 1951 in Amman, Jordan the son of the late Yousef A and Victoria (Kharouba) Fakhoury. Mr Fakhoury lived in Jordan before moving to Yonkers, NY in 1975. He relocated from Yonkers to Hyde Park in 1994.

On August 29, 1976 in Jordan, he married Jehad Haddad. She predeceased him on September 21, 1996.

He was a member of the church board of Saint Mary's Antiochan Church in Yonkers. He was a wonderful family man, who lived every day to the fullest and never gave up. His laughter and his smiles brightened up everyone's day.

He was employed as a driver for Alpha Taxi Company in Poughkeepsie.

Mr. Fakhoury is survived by his children, Martha of Yonkers, Diana of Poughkeepsie, Rosa of Poughkeepsie, and John of Hyde Park. He is also survived by his sister Diana Adcock of Liverpool, England, his brother Daniel and his wife Hanan of Hyde Park, his brother Albert and his wife Lucy of Yonkers, and also his sister Norma Abadir of Plantfield, CT.

He was also blessed with five grandchildren, Darion, Milani, Tao, Hevon, and Nikolette, and several nieces and nephews who adored him.

Calling hous will be on Tuesday, March 1, from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 at the Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home, 371 Hooker Ave., Poughkeepsie, NY.

The funeral service will take place on Wednesday, March 2, at 10:00 AM at St. Andrews Church, 110 Overlook Road, with burial to follow in St. Peter's Cemetery.
