Robert T. Digilio

Poughkeepsie - Robert T. "B.O.B" Digilio, 76, of Poughkeepsie passed away Wednesday, July 20, 2016 at Vassar Brothers Hospital. Born in Poughkeepsie on February 19, 1940, he was the son of the late Frank R. and Rose Grittlow Digilio. Bob was a 1958 graduate of Poughkeepsie High School and served in the US Army during the Berlin Crisis. On April 17, 1960 he married Sandra L. Starzyk at St. Joseph's Church in Poughkeepsie and she survives him at home. Bob was the Manager of Design at A.S.D., Automatic Systems Developers, in Poughkeepsie, NY retiring in 2001. As well as being a member of St. Joseph's Church, he was a member of the N.R.A. and the D.C. Pistol Association. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. Family, Faith and Country were the most important. He loved his dogs and loved to cook and was good at it. In addition to his wife, Sandra, he is survived by his children; daughter and son-in-law Debbie and Chauncey "Jocko" Maggiacomo of Salt Point, NY, son and daughter-in-law Robert and Mary Digilio of Newburgh, NY, son Kevin T. Digilio of Montreal, Canada, son Mark B. Digilio of Poughkeepsie and daughter and son-in-law Michelle L. and George J. Tortarella, III of Wildwood Crest, NJ. Also surviving is his brother and sister-in-law Frank S. and Mary Digilio of Boca Raton, FL, as well as his grandchildren, Derrik, Heather, Robert, Robert J., Danielle, Nicholas A., Michaela, Logan (Roland), Nicholas Frank Charles, Zachary Paulo, Kira, Shayla M., Mia Rose and Joseph Frank, his great-grandchildren Gabriel, Savanna, Maximus, Ava Lee and several nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be held on Monday, July 25, 2016 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm at the William G. Miller & Son Funeral Home, 371 Hooker Ave., Poughkeepsie, NY 12603. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, July 26, 2016 at 10:00am at St. Joseph's Church, Lafayette Pl. Poughkeepsie, NY 12601 and burial with Military Honors will follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery. If desired, donations may be made to the N.R.A. , Trump for President or the City of Poughkeepsie PBA.
