She was involved with her community, as a volunteer for the American Cancer Society ans as a member of the Town of Poughkeepsie Office of the Aging exercise program. She was often seen driving her red Chevy pickup truck, attending local block parties, events at the New Hamburg Yacht Club and the New Hamburg Fire House and on Thursdays playing Mexican Dominos with her cherished girlfriends at the New Hamburg Yacht Club. At her exercise group, she was in charge of parties and often led the group. She received many phone calls and questions as an unofficial historianof New Hamburg and had many photos of the community. I will always remember Sweet Rose. She had a contagious smile. I can still see her sitting with the ladies when I walked through the door at New Hamburg Yacht Club having her dinner and having fun. She lived such a long active life and will be missed dearly. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family always . RIP Rose.
