Samuel Iii Obituary
Poughkeepsie - Sprague, Samuel James, III, of Poughkeepsie, formerly of Beacon, entered into rest Thursday, February 13, 2014 at St. Francis Hospital, Poughkeepsie. He Was 65.
Born November 16, 1948 in Carmel, NY he was the son of the late Samuel J. Jr. and Fannabelle Cole Sprague.
Samuel was the former manager of The Fishkill Exxon and a member of The Beacon Redmen.
Survivors include four daughters, Tammie Sprague of Poughkeepsie, LaRue Walker (Eric) of Poughkeepsie, Joyce Sprague (Trouble) of Roseboro, NC. and Heather Alvarez of Clinton, NC., a brother, Douglas Cole of Glenham, two sisters, Dolores Forker of Benton Harbor, MI. and Nancy Zeno of Benton Harbor, MI. twelve grandchildren, Navia, Erica, Kathleen, Reggie,
Cynthia, Omar, Octavia, Orterell, Carlos, Dominica, Francisca, and Jose. He is also survived by a friend of many years Dorothy Sprague, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held Thursday, February 20, from 4:00 to 6:00 pm at Libby Funeral Home, Inc. 55 Teller Ave. Beacon, NY, where at 6:00 pm services will take place, Rev. Derek Ghent will officiate.
Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made directly to the family.

Tammie, Larue, Joyce and Heather, Your Dad was a one of a kind guy. His laugh, smile and sense of humor made him one of the nicest guys around. He will be remembered with love and memories of times that were so very special. Uncle Bobby said that his favorite times with Sam were spent at Lake Taconic fishing and just being guys.
