Scott Morey

ANCRAMDALE, NY - Scott J. Morey, 49, passed away on Saturday, July 9, 2011 at Geer Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Canaan, CT. He was born in Rhinebeck, NY on May 24, 1962 the son of Imogene B. (Chamer) Morey and the late Williard F. "Bull" Morey.

Scott was employed by Kimberly Clark Corporation.

He is a member of the Ancram Fire Company and received the First Firemen Of The Year Award.

In addition to his loving mother Imogene, survivors include a daughter, Allison Benware of VT; two brothers, Keith and his wife Anna Morey of Ancramdale, NY; Kyle Morey of Ancramdale, NY; a grandson, Kadin, several nieces, nephews and great nephews.

There are no calling hours.

A memorial service will be held at 11 AM on Friday, July 15, at the Faith Bible Chapel of Shekomeko, 222 Silver Mountain Rd. Millerton, NY 12546 with Rev. William Mayhew, officiating.

A reception will follow at the Ancram Fire Company.

Interment will be private.

In lieu of Flowers memorial contributions are requested to the Geer Nursing and Rehabilitation Center 99 South Canaan Rd. Canaan, CT 06018 or the Ancram Fire Company PO Box 8 Ancram, NY 12502.

I remember Scott fondly from chats we had times I was at Geer visiting my Grandmother. I am saddened to hear of his passing, and will keep him and his family in my thoughts.
