Moore-McCray
Pleasant Valley - Sheron (Shea) H. Moore- McCray was born on September 9, 1950 in Brooklyn, NY. She was educated in the New York City Public School System and attended New York City Community College. As a young woman she acquired the skill of typing up to 110 words per minute, reduced all of her writing to shorthand, leading to extensive beautiful penmanship.
Shea began her career with E.F. Hutton & Company as a Commodity Broker in New York City.
Relocating to Milner, Georgia to take care of her grandfather she was immediately swept up by E.F. Hutton; located in Atlanta Ga; an unheard of opportunity for a young black woman. Upon her return to New York she served in many job titles. Having been employed at REMCO Maintenance Company, Greystone Programs, Mount Sinai Medical Center, CRI Construction Corp, Bowood Enterprises, NYU Medical Center, Mary Kay, MDS Labs, Cincotta Realty and Dutchess Medical.
In 1990, she joined the Mt. Zion Baptist Church. She sang in the adult choir, she was an active member of Youth-N-Action, and the Women's Ministry.
Co-existing with her career she was a dedicated single-parent that loved to cook, bake, engage in macramé, crochet, needle point, crossword puzzles, solitaire, dancing, singing, decorating, and spending time with her Boop-A-Loops (granddaughter). She loved her family and friends, willing to give you the shirt off her back; she had an intriguingly warm personality, and anyone who had the pleasure of knowing her felt that energy.
In 1995, she met the love of her life Frederick McCray whom she eventually married on October 21, 2000. They remained inseparable until her final days.
She is predeceased by Alfonza Harris (Father), Minnie A. Harris (Mother), Brothers: Darrell Harris, Alfonzo Harris, and Minister Clarence Reid, Jr.
She leaves to cherish her life: her Husband; Frederick, Daughters; TyChe' Earli- Dawn & She'ron Shaneshia, Son in Law; Mark Newman, Granddaughters; Dyani Isabelle & Brooklyn Scie, Sisters; Darlene Haywood (James), & Kelly Shakespeare, two Stepsons; Frederick and Keith McCray, Aunts; Dolores Mauge, Evelyn Culmer, and Mayna Lawrence Uncles; Wilbert Lawrence Jr & Michael Lawrence, and her dearest best friend Felicia Brown-Lewis as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
A funeral service will be held Saturday March 21, 2015 10am at Mt. Zion Baptist Church- 10 South Green Haven Rd. Stormville NY 12582

I'll vividly remember the times that you and I would discuss hair colorings, bags, and fashion. These are the happy memories that I will forever hold in my heart. Your genuine spirit, your warm approach, and that big smile will forever be embedded in my heart. Your grace was unmatched, and the strength you displayed through this unfortunate journey will forever be admired. Deepest condolences to the entire McCray family! May your hearts be filled with endurance by the grace of the almighty during this difficult time.

My deepest heartfelt sympathy to all her family, friends and anyone who had the pleasure of meeting her. I was lucky enough to meet her at my drs office where she always had a smile, kind words and so much energy.
I sadly just found out about her passing this morning, and it has saddened me so. She was such a beautiful lady both inside and out.
Sending my prayers, thoughts, strength and love are with her family.
May you be at peace amongst the Angels Shea, thank you for your beautiful presence, you truly are a inspirational, courageous, and strong woman.
