Stephen Brunetti Obituary

Stephen Brunetti

Fishkill - Stephen Brunetti of Fishkill passed away peacefully on October 12, 2015 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center. He was 87.

Born on July 13, 1928 in Bronx, NY to the late Luigi and Maria Amerio Brunetti.

Stephen was a self Employed Roofer and in his early career worked for the NYPD as a Wagon Operator. He was an avid golfer, fisherman and enjoyed singing. He was also known as a handyman to his family and friends.

He is survived by his loving children Catherine Brunetti, Stephen Brunetti and his wife Mary, and John Brunetti and his wife Gail. Cherished grandchildren Christine Balaguer and her husband Derek, James Clifford, Kathleen Brunetti, Stephen Brunetti, Patrick Brunetti, Clarice Muron Bendaoud, Nicole Brunetti, and Michael Brunetti. Loving Great Granddaughter Bridgette Riley Balaguer. He is also survived by numerous loving nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his wife Catherine Brunetti in 2006 and 2 sisters.

Friends may call on Thursday October 15, 2015 from 4-8pm at Robert H. Auchmoody Funeral Home, 1028 Main St, Fishkill. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday October 16, 2015 at 10:00am at St. Mary, Mother of the Church, Fishkill. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Valhalla.

In lieu of flowers please make donations in Stephen's name to Hospice INC, 374 Violet Ave, Poughkeepsie, NY 12601 or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.

Dear Dad,
I miss you already. As we all gather around together, we can't help but share our most loving memories of you throughout our lives. You were an amazing man. As a father you made sure we had your support and encouragement. You worked so hard all your life to provide for us. One of my best memories of you is you singing to me. I loved sitting on your lap and listening to you. I always felt safe in your arms. I'll love you forever. Know also that you were a wonderful grandfather. You were there for so many events in their lives...little league, Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts ( so many pine wood derbies!!!), soccer games, volley ball, dance recitals, school plays and crew meets!!! (And you enjoyed each and every one of them). You even made it to great-grandpa statis...Bridgette could always put a smile on your face.
Thank you dad for all you did and for the wonderful man you were. We love you and will carry you with us in our hearts and minds forever.
