Stephen J. Iovino

Poughkeepsie - Stephen J. Iovino, age 77, of Poughkeepsie, died Saturday, October 8, 2016 peacefully at home. Stephen was born October 11, 1938 in Bronx, NY. He is the son of the late Albert and the late Anna (Bonfiglio) Iovino. He married Mary A. Constantino on June 17, 1961 in The Bronx. He was predeceased by his wife, Mary A. Constantino on April 21, 2015.

Stephen was a graduate of FIT in Manhattan. He was a retired employee of IBM in East Fishkill and was also a Business Manager at McCallum Cadillac Buick.

Stephen served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War from 1957 to 1959.

He liked to build stuff and work with his hands, and was a strong advocate for the disabled.

He is survived by his son Stephen V. Iovino of Poughkeepsie, NY., and daughter Linda M. Iovino of Poughkeepsie, NY.

Stephen was predeceased by his sister Ernestine Luongo and his brother Joseph Iovino.

Calling hours will be Thursday, October 13, 2016 from 4pm to 8pm at the Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home Inc., 371 Hooker Ave., Poughkeepsie, NY.

The funeral will be held 11:30am Friday October 14, 2016 at St. Mary's Mother Of The Church, 100 Jackson Street, Fishkill, NY. Burial will be in Poughkeepsie Rural Cemetery, Poughkeepsie, New York with Military services.
