Remembering Susan fondly. She would substitute regularly for the Pine Plains Central School. She would always arrive early and we would reminisce about our childhoods. My grandparents lived on Leedsville Rd. and I remember the Macura family well.

Susan... I cant believe you are gone. I am bawling my eyes out right now, I just saw of your passing. I am so sorry I didnt get to say goodbye. I'm so sorry I haven't seen you in so long. We used to talk for hours, you were my absolute favorite teacher, and I'm going to miss seeing you so much at the library. Mac, I love you so much and I cant believe you are gone. You definitely lived life to the fullest. You are going to be so greatly missed. I am heartbroken.

I am so saddened to hear of Susan’s passing. I went to school with Nadine and had the pleasure of working with Susan when she was a substitute teacher at Webutuck. Susan always had a cheerful disposition and was so great with the students. My condolences to the whole family. Susan will be missed. The world was a better place with her.

I’m so very sorry to hear of Susan’s passing. I spent a good part of my childhood at the Macura house, swimming , drawing with Susan, visiting the Downeys and having as many popsicles as a kid could eat! Sending love and condolences to all of you, especially Mrs. Macura. I am so very sorry. Sheila Cunningham O’Dea
