Terrence Rice Obituary
Apex, NC - Terrence Donald Rice, 57 of Apex, NC passed away surrounded by his wife and daughters on December 7, 2020 at his home after an almost two-year battle with cancer.
Terry was born on October 4, 1963 in Poughkeepsie, New York to his parents, Donald and Gail Rice. After graduating from Roy C. Ketchum High School, Terry joined the US Air Force as a Law Enforcement Specialist for four years. During his time in the service he received many accommodation awards - he was kind of a big deal.
After returning home to New York in 1985 he married his childhood friend and the love of his life, Carol Cochrane. Together they had two beautiful daughters, Rachel and Sarah.
Terry was such a passionate and caring person with the biggest heart. He loved his family and friends more than anything. Most weekends you could find Terry either trying to find the fairway at any given golf course or cheering on Brittany United, the Buffalo Bills, or the NC State Wolfpack.
He is preceded in death by his father, Donald R. Rice, and father-in-law, Harry L. Cochrane.
Terry will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Carol Rice; daughters, Rachel Bostic (husband, Eric Bostic along with their two children, Elliott and Carter Bostic) and Sarah Reedy (husband, Jake Reedy); mother, Gail Rice; mother-in-law, Aurelia Cochrane; and his most loving prayer buddy, Rosemarie Rice; siblings, Kevin Rice (Laura), Tim Rice (Susan), Patrick Rice (Diane), Matthew Rice (Stefanie), and Donna Serrao (Frank); along with several nieces and nephews, the entire Cochrane family, and anyone that had the pleasure of knowing him.
A funeral mass will be held on Friday, December 11, 2020 at 11:00 AM. Due to COVID the family has decided to keep this mass private but would love for anyone who is able to watch via livestream that will be posted on Apex Funeral Home's website. Please feel free to join the livestream via the link listed below in the services section. The stream will be saved to the Apex Funeral Home Facebook Business page after the service for those who cannot tune in during the livestream.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Western Wake Crisis Center.
