Thomas Cole

Fishkill - Thomas Decker Cole, a Dutchess County resident since 2000 and formerly of Westchester County, passed away suddenly at home on Friday, February 12, 2021. He was 50.

Tom was born in Mount Kisco on October 12, 1970. For most of his life, he worked as an executive chauffer in the security business.

Tom was a caring man whose interests included, mixed martial arts, boxing, working out at the gym and reading. He loved spending time with his family especially his 3 daughters. He enjoyed taking car rides with his dogs, listening to a good podcast, making a killer breakfast, grilling a perfect steak on the grill and ALWAYS making everyone laugh. He will be deeply missed.

On November 21, 1998, he married Jennifer Degnan at St. Patrick's Church in Yorktown Heights. Jennifer survives at home in Fishkill, along with their three daughters: Alexandra, Julianna, and Noelle.

Additional survivors include his mother, Geraldine Cole; his siblings, Deborah Spencer, Joan & Scott Owen, Lee Roy Cole III, Edward & Rosemary Cole, Maggie & Raymond Messina, Ann Marie Sciullo, and Gerri Lynn Keating; his mother-in-law, Helen Degnan; his siblings-in-law, Michael & Ellen Degnan, Laura & Phil Peterson, Rick Worthy, and Gregory Keating; as well as many nieces, nephews, and other loving relatives & friends.

Tom was predeceased by his father, Lee Roy Cole, Jr.; his brother, Daniel Cole; his sisters, Mary Louise Cole and Alice Worthy; and his father-in-law, Joseph Degnan.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, all services will be private at this time. Relatives & friends can view the funeral via livestream starting at 12 p.m. on Friday, February 19. Interment will be at Fishkill Rural Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made In Tom's memory to The Humane Society of the United States www.humanesociety.org; RAINN www.rainn.org; or Tunnel to Towers Foundation www.tunnel2towers.org.
