Carl Schmidt Obituary
Carl Richard Schmidt, age 68, of Washington, Iowa, formerly of Moline, Illinois, died Friday, December 9, 2016, at the Halcyon House in Washington, Iowa.
Mass of the Resurrection will be held 10:30 a.m. Thursday, December 15, 2016, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Riverside, Iowa, with Fr. David Brownfield and Fr. Bernie Weir officiating. Calling hours will begin noon Wednesday at the Jones & Eden Funeral Home in Washington, Iowa, where the family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. The Rosary will be recited at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday followed by a Prayer Service at 6:00 p.m. Interment will take place at the Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Riverside. Memorials have been established for CurePSP. Online condolences may be sent for Carl's family and a full obituary may be viewed through the web at www.jonesfh.com
He is survived by his daughter, Heather Schmidt of Washington, IA; son, Tyler (Natalie) Schmidt of Carmel, IN; 5 grandchildren: Zachary, Lauren, Carter, Jackson and Samantha; sister, Marie Gallagher of Pewaukee, WI; brother, LeRoy (Judy) Schmidt of Brookfield, WI; sister, Marilyn (Dick) Musser of Solon, IA; brother, Bill (Beth) Schmidt of The Villages, FL; as well as many nieces and nephews.
