Danny D. "Bud" Bishop, 55

Danny D. "Bud" Bishop, 55, died Friday October 21st.

Memorial Services will be held at 11 AM, Wednesday, October 26th at Lensing Funeral & Cremation Service, Iowa City. In lieu of flowers, The Danny "Bud" Bishop Memorial Fund has been established.

Bud was born October 25, 1960 in Newton, the son of Coy and Judith Parsons Bishop. He was a 1979 graduate of Newton High School. On June 22, 1996 Bud married Sherry Hoagland in Iowa City.

Following high school Bud lived in Texas and Tennessee, moving to Iowa City 23 years ago. Bud drove heavy equipment and was a truck driver with over one million miles logged. He later worked for Harley-Davidson and NAPA.

Most important to Bud was his family and many friends. He loved Rock and Roll and time spent fishing and watching sports, especially the Hawkeyes. He was a Harley- Davidson enthusiast and owner. He was a member of HOG and ABATE and VFW #3949.

Bud is survived by his wife Sherry and two sons, Todd Hoagland of Coralville and Rodd Hoagland of Monroe; two grandchildren, Chloe Hoagland of Iowa City and Sabin DeJoode of Pella; his siblings, Diane Richards (Mike), Dana Woody, and Darla Modlin (Craig), all of Newton and Douglas Bishop (DeAnn) of Baxter.

Bud was preceded in death by his parents and two sons, Thadd and Chadd.
