Joshua Yoder Obituary

Joshua Martin Yoder, 4, of Clinton, Iowa died Wednesday May 4, 2005 at University of Iowa Hospitals in Iowa City, Iowa from severe trauma to the head due to injuries received from an automobile accident in Clinton, Iowa on May 3, 2005. Funeral services will be 9:00 a.m. Monday, May 9, 2005 at the Evangelical Free Church located at 1010 13th Avenue North, Clinton, Iowa. Rev. Thomas Loyola will officiate the service. Burial will follow at West Union Cemetery, Wellman, Iowa. Pallbearers will be members of the United States Marine Corps. Visitation is from 3:00 - 8:00 p.m. Sunday, May 8, 2005 at the Evangelical Free Church. Lemke Funeral Home North Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
Joshua was born January 26, 2001 to Benjamin A. and Deborah K. (Harmonson) Yoder, the youngest of their 13 children. He belonged to cubbies at the Evangelical Free Church, enjoyed backyard wiffle ball, and was an avid superhero fan. He was a free spirit and could regularly been seen wearing his superhero cape. Joshua now walks hand-in-hand with the Lord and was a gift to us all.
He is survived by his parents, his brothers and sisters, Sarah K. (Jeffrey) Owens of Lang Fang, China, Anna Ruth, Esther Joy, Samuel John, Lydia Dawn, Joseph David, Mary Elizabeth, Martha Rose, Rachel Marie, Tabitha Grace, Abraham Benjamin, and Isaiah James, at home, his grandparents, Ross and Shelba Harmonson of Spencer, Iowa, Carolyn Yoder, of Wellman, Iowa, and Elwood and Norma Yoder of Kalona, Iowa, 2 nieces and 2 nephews, Wendy, Peter, John, and Ellen of Lang Fang, China, and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
In lieu of flowers a memorial fund in the name of Joshua Martin Yoder has been established at Gateway State Bank.
