Marjorie Anciaux Obituary

Marjorie "Marge" Ellen Anciaux, 82, of Iowa City died peacefully Saturday, November 20, 2010 at Atrium Village.
Funeral Services for Marjorie will be held at 2pm, Tuesday, November 23, 2010 at Lensing Funeral and Cremation Service, Iowa City, where the family will greet friends after 1 pm. Burial will be at Memory Gardens Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Iowa City Hospice.
Marge was born on a farm in rural Johnson County on October 12, 1928, the daughter of George and Bessie Thomas Aubrecht. On November 27, 1946 Marge married Cecil "Rusty" Anciaux in Iowa City.
Marge enjoyed playing bridge and spending time with her family, friends and beloved cat, Ebby.
Marge is survived by three children, Connie Williams of Middletown, IA, Jeff Anciaux and Becky (Roy) Zubrod, both of Iowa City; four sisters, Kathryn Hebl of Hills, Donna (Leo) Zeithamel of North Liberty, Beverly (Rashid) Al-Rashid of Omaha and Marlene Boerjan of Iowa City; her brother Merrill "Bubby"(Betty) Aubrecht of Coralville; five grandchildren Channon ( Patrick) Galligan of Wausaw, WI, Steven Patrie of Dallas, Jake Zubrod of Ames, Rachelle Williams of Ankeny and Sarah (Tomas) Zurita of Danville, IA; and four great grandchildren Ayden, Jayden, Gabriel and Myah.
Marge was preceded in death by her parents, her husband in 1987 and five siblings Harold and Maynard Aubrecht, Lucille Kucera, Letha Musser and Lillian Allen.
