Robert Brechwald Obituary

Robert L. Brechwald, 79

Robert L. Brechwald, 79, of Iowa City, passed away Tuesday, April 11, 2017 at Mercy Hospital, Hospice Unit. Private family services have been held. Burial will be in Corpus Christi Cemetery, Fort Dodge, IA. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Mary's Catholic Church, Iowa City.

Robert was born February 14, 1938 the son of Robert and Velma (Lee) Brechwald. He graduated from Fort Dodge Senior High School in 1957 and received his B.S. from The University of Iowa in 1964. Robert served in the Air National Guard from 1955-1961. He retired in 2003 after 38 years from The University of Iowa Physics Department as a Data Analysis Technician.

Robert is survived by his sister, Carol Robinson of Parkersburg, WV and her children, Charles Robinson II (Inda) of Parkersburg, WV and Jamie Stuckey (Greg) of Florence, South Carolina; three great nieces and one great nephew; one great -great niece; and several cousins.
