Dear Cousins,

I am so very sorry to hear of the loss of your mother. I read once that death is not the candle blown out, but rather the lamp turned down because the dawn is breaking.

May your mother know joy beyond measure with our heavenly Father and all who went to their reward before her. Great her eternal rest O Lord and let perpetual light shine upon her.

And in your sorrow may you know the comfort of Christ's love, and the deep abiding love your mother held for each of you –
