Donald Horton Obituary
Donald Horton 76 , of Johnson City, NY passed away August 26, 2015. He is predeceased by his parents Donald and Rhea (Yost) Horton and brother-in-law Fred Camp He is survived by his daughters Lisa Childs & her fiance Gary Grishaber, Rochester, NY and Lori & her husband Seth Laken, Savannah, GA., Grandchildren: Patrick, Ethan, Olivia & Emmy, Sister Cheryl Camp, Endwell, NY, Niece Donna Taylor & fiance Barry Barkley, Johnson City, NY Nephew Bill Taylor, Johnson City, NY. Don graduated from Johnson City High School and served time in the US Navy aboard the USS Herbert J. Thomas. Don was a bartender in the triple cities area for many years. His charisma, wit and showmanship earned him the distinction of being named "The areas Most Congenial Mixologist' by the local newspaper. His charm and personality attracted a large following of patrons through the years. He always remembered your name and what you drank. Don's family wishes to extend their heartfelt appreciation to the staff at the NYS Veterans Home, Oxford, NY for the wonderful care he received as the ravages of Alzheimers took over his life. "Uncle Donnie' you will be dearly missed. A celebration of Don's life will be held September 12, 2015 at 3:00 pm. Please call 607-239-5536 for details.

Donny was a great guy, who had many talents and a welcoming smile when you would meet up with him. Don had the ability to make a stranger feel like an old friend shortly after meeting him. I was fortunate to have him for my friend throughout the years. He will be dearly missed. Rest In Peace, Donny.
