Dorothy Ahern Obituary
formerly of Binghamton - Dorothy (Eleftheratos) Ahern, 92, formerly of Binghamton, passed away, Wednesday December 30, 2020 at Absolut Care of Endicott. She was predeceased by her husband, James Ahern; her daughter, Christine Hine; her grandson, Matt Howe. She is survived by seven children, Stella (Al) Pittarelli, Michael Ahern (Debbie), Cassandra Ahern, Denise (Chris) Hall, Jamie (Michael) Dean, Laura (Ed) Warner, James (Stacy) Ahern; fifteen grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; her sister, Catherine Glowacki; her brothers; Salvatore (Ted) Eleftheratos, Dennis Eleftheratos. She was a retired IBM employee, a former Universal Instruments employee and held various other jobs until her age of 75. She was a devout catholic and a member of the former St. Andrew's Church, Binghamton. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 5, 2021 at 11:00 AM at The Church of the Holy Family 3600 Phyllis St. Endwell, NY. Burial will follow in Vestal Hills Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the church on Tuesday from 10:00 AM until time of Mass at 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy in her memory may be made to Absolut Care of Endicott Activities Fund, 1 Nantucket Dr. Endicott, NY 13760.

Stella, I am so sorry for your loss. I lost both of my parents also awhile back. I remember your mom and dad like it was yesterday. I loved staying over night with your family.
