Vail, Edna C.

Edna C. Vail, 65, of Binghamton, passed away Tuesday, February 16, 2016 after a courageous battle with cancer. She was predeceased by her parents, Raymond and Eunice Meade; brother, Ernest Giles; son, Richard M. Meade, II; brother-in-law, John Walsh and sister-in-law, Mary Giles. She is survived by her husband, Nicholas Vail; her children: Kelly (George) Dewar, Albert (Christina) Meade, Robert (Tanya) Barwell-Meade, Andrew (Jennifer) Meade, Sarah Jo Riker-Meade and Angela Meade; many grandchildren, including special grandsons, Russell and Kevin White; many great-grandchildren, including a special great-grandson, Leo Edward White; brothers: Robert (Fay) Giles, Russell (Barb) Meade, Raymond (Sharon) Meade, Richard (Gloria) Meade; sisters: Eunice R. Walsh and Sandra R. Redfern; sister-in-law, Alexis Giles-Hitchcock; also many nieces and nephews. Funeral and committal services will be held Saturday, February 20, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the Fischer-Scholder Funeral Home, Inc., 269 Chenango St. with Rev. Alan Kessler officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.

Edna and I were neighbors for over 25 years What quality l loved about her was her love for her pets cats dogs she loved them all. It was comforting to know that she was right down the street from us She will be missed.
