Joyce, Patty, Marilyn & Jimmy and Family - I was working in Baltimore when I got the news about Gene and was not able to make it home in time to attend the services. My heart goes out to all of you...my thoughts and prayers are with you and all of your family. I will always cherish the many memories we had together... playing ping-pong and cards, working the corn stand on the corner, flipping burgers at Henry's Hamburgers, pitching horseshoes, the many Lawton carnivals, 5 Mile Point races, my only trip to Shea Stadium and pics with Cleon Jones, my 1st ever driving in Marilyn's VW bug. Just so many happy times growing up with Gene and you dear folks. May God comfort your hearts during this time and in the days ahead may the many memories draw you close together and close to the Lord. Sharing in your loss with tears and in Christ's love, Bobby

to Gene's wife and family......I went to school with Gene, graduated with him from Vestal, saw him many times over the years, he reffed over my daughters basketball games not only at Vestal, but at Practical Bible College games..... I was thrilled when he told me had finally found a loving wife after all those years of bachelorhood, and he showed me the wedding photos, what a look of joy was on his face. I was overwhelmed to hear of his death. he will be missed by many, and this class mate will surely miss him. he made me laugh so much in high school. and no matter when or where I saw him, he alway had a smile and a joyful hello for me.
