Floyd Edwards Obituary

Floyd M. Edwards
of Endicott
Floyd M. Edwards, born in Guelph, N.Dak. in 1908, was the son of Gayle Dennison Edwards and Susie Holcomb Edwards. He was one of ten children. A brother, Robert, died in infancy. He was predeceased by his sisters, Anna Swingle, Edith Brain, May Seltzer; a brother, Lyden (Ike); his wife, Marguerite; and daughter, Janet Mynene. He is survived by his sisters, Neva Deming, Madge Williams; brothers, Donald and Wayne; and his son, James Dennison. Floyd married Marguerite Beatrice Main on August 3, 1929. Floyd was known to the community primarily through his work at Newing Equipment/Motor Company. He worked for several automobile dealerships over the years and retired from IBM after being employed there at the age of 49. He was a longtime member of Central United Methodist Church where he had served in several capacities including the choir and the Board of Trustees.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. from the Coleman & Daniels Funeral Home, Inc., 300 E. Main St., Endicott. the Rev. Kenneth E. Wood, pastor of his church, will officiate. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Endicott. There will be no calling hours.
