Frederic R. Doughty, 54, formerly of Deansboro, N.Y., passed away at his home in Endwell, N.Y., on November 17, 2007. Fred was born January 29, 1953 to Francis R. and Jane (Manion) Doughty. A graduate of Waterville High School in 1971, he obtained a B.A. in Psychology from Utica College in 1989. He was employed for years as a drug and alcohol counselor in the Corrections System of New York State. Fred is survived by his parents and siblings, Ellen McKee, Cupertino, Calif., Jane F. Doughty, Deansboro, Florence Proulx and her husband, Tim, Swartz Creek, Mich., Christiana Rothwell and her husband, David, Poland, N.Y., James and Thomas Doughty, Deansboro, Joseph and his wife, Andrea Doughty, Chapel Hill, N.C.; one brother-in-law, Brian Gadbois, N.Y. Fred is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and three grandnieces and one grandnephew. He was predeceased by one sister, Claire Gadbois in 1987.
Mr. Doughty's funeral will be held Wednesday, November 21, 2007, at 10:00 a.m. from St. Mary's Church, Clinton, where his Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. His burial will take place in St. Peter's Cemetery, Liberty, N.Y. Calling hours at the Heintz Funeral Home, 10 E. Park Row, Clinton, will be held Tuesday evening from 4:00-7:00.
