Fredrick R. Stanton
of Susquehanna, PA
Fredrick R. Stanton, 70, of Susquehanna, PA. went to be with the Lord Monday, March 9, 2009, at CMC Hospital, surrounded by his family. Fredrick was a beloved husband, father, and grandfather. He was predeceased by his parents, John and Daisey Stanton; and sister, Janice Evanitsky. Fredrick is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Beverly Travis; companion "Cuddles"; daughter, Sherry and husband, Mike Nagel; son, Shelly and wife, Missy Stanton; son, Fred Jr. and girlfriend, Bonnie Gordon; daughter, Carisa and husband, Tim Harris; grandchildren, Michelle Nagel and boyfriend, Andy Belcher, Mikey "Beavis" Nagel, Marc Stanton, Audree and Cole Harris, Mindy and Alex Stanton; brother, Richard and wife, Pat Stanton of FL; sister, Louise, and husband, Jim Krahwrinkel; also several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Fredrick was born on January 16, 1939, in Starrucca, PA. He worked for Canron Inc. for 36 years; then enjoyed his retirement. He loved dirt car racing, picking stone, and doing firewood, but most of all spending time with his loving family. He will be greatly missed by all.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 14, 2009, at 11 a.m. at the Hennessey's Funeral Home, 747 Jackson Ave. Susquehanna, PA., with Rev. James Rouse officiating. Burial will be held in the Lanesboro Cemetery in Lanesboro, PA. The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home on Friday, March 13, 2009 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

I fondly remember the days back in the 60's "the novice division beginings @ Penn-Cann Speedway" and working on race cars with Fred, Ed Criddle and the whole clan at your house on Broad Ave. Those were great days, a much simpler time, oh to have them back.
