George R. Spencer, Sr.
of VestalGeorge R. Spencer, Sr., 61, of Vestal, died Monday morning, October 7, 2002 at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital. He is survived by a daughter, Casandra Spencer, S. Eaton, Mass.; a son and daughter-in-law, George, Jr. and Lisa Spencer, Jacksonville, Fla.; his wife, Anne Spencer, Cape Elizabeth, Maine; sisters, Sydney and Charles Eigerbrodt, Amy and Tom Fadden; brothers, John and Ann Spencer, Michael and Rosalie Spencer; several nieces and nephews; and a longtime friend, Bill Wilson. He was a retired employee of Binghamton University, a former owner of Spencer-Simon Clothing and was associated with Haggerty & Forbes Men's Clothing. He was a loving father and friend who will be missed very much! Memorial services will be held at the J.A. McCormack Sons Funeral Home, 141 Main St., Binghamton, Wednesday at 7 p.m. The family will receive friends at the McCormack Funeral Home on Wednesday from 4 to 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy in memory of George may be made to the American Lung Association, 587 Main St., New York Mills, N.Y. 13417.
