Helen Bezek Obituary
Helen M. Bezek, 88, of Endwell passed away on May 30, 2015 after a brief illness. She was predeceased by her parents, William and Anna (Gajdos) Hudanich; brother, George Hudanich; daughter, Geralyn (Geri) Hall; numerous brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. She is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, Frank Bezek; son, Chris (Ann) Bezek, Charlotte, NC.; daughter, Leslie (Michael) Sabitus, Vestal; daughter, Marybeth (Rob) Salamida, Binghamton; two sisters, Ann Hudanich, Austin, TX and Bonnie (Richard) Powell, Houston, TX; one brother, John (Lisa) Hudanich, Maine; a sister-in-law, Peggy Lindstrom, Vestal; and a brother-in-law, Charles Bellis, Atlanta, GA; her grandchildren, Marc (Jenn) Bezek, GA, Keith (Tricia) Bezek, VA, Ryan Bezek, NC, Sarah Hall, ME, Hayley (Adam) Manger, NJ, Claire Salamida, CA, Allison Sabitus, IN, Jeffrey Sabitus, NY, Andrew Salamida, NY; her great-grandchildren, Damien, Ainsley, Chance, and Bryce Bezek; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. Helen was retired with over 20 years of service at GE Westover. She was a devout member of the Perpetual Adoration Chapel of Holy Family Church. Helen's life was devoted to her family and she always put their needs before her own. In retirement she enjoyed travel, family dinners, berry picking, gardening, and never missing her program "Wheel of Fortune." She was proud to keep her Slovak traditions alive through her Christmas Holy Night suppers, Easter basket blessings and baking. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday 11 am at Church of the Holy Family 3600 Phyllis Street. Entombment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City. The family will receive friends at the church on Thursday from 9 am until service time.

Dear Bezek family,
I am sorry for your loss. Mrs. Bezek was always so kind, interested, vibrant and full of life. It was a pleasure to grow up with the Bezek family on Stonefield Road in Endwell and God bless Mr. and Mrs. Bezek, they attended our mom's funeral back in December and I will be forever grateful to them for making the effort but that's exactly the kind of people they are, faithful, loyal and loving. What a beautiful legacy Mrs. Bezek leaves to all of us.

I never saw Helen when she didn't have a smile on her face no matter how stressful it was at work. And she made the best lekvar cake I've ever had. God Bless, Pat Kosecher
